Frequently Asked Questions
At Purusa, we aim to please! Here you’ll find answers to FAQs. If you have an additional question, feel free to call us at (406) 493-1542 or send us an email.
How should I prepare for online lessons?
If you don’t already have a Zoom account, please make one now, using the first and last name in your Wellness Living online profile. You can download their free app here.
When it comes time for your class, please click the access link up to 10 minutes early to get your video and audio turned on, and write anything you would like for us to be mindful of, or your “injury” tag, in the comments.
Set up your space in your home with a beach towel or yoga mat with any blankets or props you have on hand.
Please be sure you are muted when you enter the Zoom meeting, and during practice, to best keep the background noise pleasant for everyone’s experience.
Feel free to leave your camera on, we love to see your beautiful faces!
Do I need a webcam for online classes?
Our online classes are broadcast through Zoom. You are not required to have a webcam to join a Zoom meeting, however you will not be able to share video of yourself. You will be able to listen and speak to our mindful instructors during the class or session, with the options to share your screen, and view the video of your instructors and other fellow yogis.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that is not too loose. If attending an aerial class, tighter clothes that cover underarms and knees are preferable due to inversions (short or long sleeve tees and leggings are great!).
Additionally, for aerial classes, please be sure to remove any jewelry or belts and keep fingernails and toenails short for your own comfort. Please do not wear perfume or scented lotions as they may cling to fabrics.
Should I bring water with me?
Yes! Ideally, come to class well hydrated and with a large bottle of water. Chilled bottled water is available for purchase at the studio as well.
What if I forget or don't have a yoga mat?
Not to worry! We have yoga mats for rent for $2 a class. Yoga mats are also available for purchase.
If you’re joining us from home, a beach towel should suffice.
Can I change my clothing at the studio?
Yes! We have private changing stalls, as well as private bathrooms.
How long are classes?
Each class is planned to run for an hour but may sometimes go just a few minutes over due to variable conditions.
What if I can't do a pose?
That’s okay! Our instructors will often mention an easier alternative to a particularly troublesome pose. You can, of course, always ask them for help as well. Please make them aware of any injuries or health problems that may be a cause of concern before class.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
If you are joining us from the comfort of your home online, please make sure to sign in at least 5 minutes before class starts.
If you are joining us in the studio, you can choose from our packages and memberships for any class. Just make sure to show up 15 minutes early to get your payment processed if you have not already paid in Wellness Living.
